MRT-3 North Avenue Station

Missing Accessible Features

There is a general set of standards that people put when stations are labeled as accessible. The uncomfortable truth is, we’re not truly there yet. While certain features are universally implemented, others are universally overlooked. All MRT-3 stations lack tactile paving, LED screens for dynamic information, and other features that would help those with visual, and hearing disabilites.

More about the Station

The North Avenue Station is connected to Ayala Malls Trinoma, which isn’t the first station to be connected to an Ayala mall.

Nestled comfortably in Quezon City, it’s the last station of the MRT-3 line. It meets the current station-wide standards with high-contrast signages, staff that are trained to assist Persons with Disabilities, and even a waiting zone in the southbound platform. It has 2 working elevators that aren’t connected to the mall, but do be cautious of the ramps since they can be considered too steep and lacks proper guard rails.
