MRT-3 Santolan Station

Missing Accessible Features

There is a general set of standards that people put when stations are labeled as accessible. The uncomfortable truth is, we’re not truly there yet. While certain features are universally implemented, others are universally overlooked. All MRT-3 stations lack tactile paving, LED screens for dynamic information, and other features that would help those with visual, and hearing disabilites.

More about the Station

Santolan-Annapolis Station is another station located in the middle of a busy highway, so while the accessibility standards are met inside, the continuity outside the station is another question entirely. Both sides of the station have their respective elevators and accompanying ramps, as well as there being staff to assist you in boarding and designated waiting zones for PWDs, Seniors, and Pregnant women on both the northbound and southbound platforms.
